Upgrading to php 7.4
If you are comfortable with logging into your Control Panel - then it is a good time to log in and check the php version you are using for your websites.
PHP is the the server side software - if you think about it like the version of Windows or what OX you are using on your laptop- every now and again you need to update it. We make these updates available to you so that your website can run at it's best and the most recent update is to php 7.4
If you are running WordPress then the latest versions of WordPress 5.6 upwards needs php 7.4 to work at it's best. The php editor will also allow you to set the amount of memory you can use on your website, this is a bit like the Horse Power your car engine can use. If this isn't set correctly then it can severely slow your engine sorry website so make sure to check this out and ensure you are using a maximum amount of 1096 MB.
